Big Bear Cafe has been closed for the past week and a half. “The building is over 80 years old and (needs) some remodeling and repairs, and we need to close to do so,” owner Chad Vaughan wrote on The Times’ Facebook page. The restaurant at 893 Main St. SW in Gainesville celebrated its 80th birthday in July.
