Bicyclist suffers serious head injury in crash

Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash that resulted in serious injury to a bicycle rider on Bryant Quarter Road near Cobb Griffin on Sunday. GSP said in an e-mail that the bicycle rider, whose identity has not been released, was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital with a head injury. According to GSP, the bicyclist was traveling northbound on Bryant Quarter Road, and a 1994 Ford Escort being drive by Michael Marsingill, 22, of Pendergrass approached him from behind.
