Shopping is altruistic once again as Belk’s annual charity sale is scheduled for May 2. The four-hour, in-store shopping event is a fundraising tool for participating organizations. Shoppers can purchase a $5 ticket from a participating local charity or at the door during the event; on that day, those with the ticket can receive 20-70 percent off on select items storewide.
