Beatty wins Flowery Branch council election

Monica Beatty is Flowery Branch’s newest councilwoman, winning in Tuesday’s runoff election over Nicole Kriews. Beatty had 102 votes, over Kriews' 73 votes. Tuesday’s runoff came after a June 9 special election to fill Posts 1 and 5 on the City Council.
