A four-car collision in Barrow County at the intersection of Ga. 211 and Old Thompson Mill Road left two dead Sunday afternoon, said the Georgia State Patrol. The wreck occurred at about 3 p.m. and left Ga. 211 westbound shutdown from approximately 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition, a two-car crash at about 6 p.m. Saturday in Madison County at the intersection of Sanford and Martin Griffin roads sent at least one person to Athens Regional hospital. Georgia State Patrol reported one fatality Sunday afternoon resulting from the Saturday wreck.

The patrol released no other information about the wrecks.
