Lora B. Bailey assumed the position of professor and dean of the Brenau University School of Education on Thursday.

Before taking on her new role at Brenau, Bailey was the administrator and chairwoman of the early childhood program at Auburn University. She also has taught at the University of Louisville, the University of South Carolina and in public schools in Montgomery, Ala.

As dean of Brenau’s education school, Bailey will play an integral role in developing the school’s plan to offer doctorate degrees in education.
