After a 92-year-old woman was bitten by a dog, authorities charged her son with neglect of an elder person after investigating her living situation.
Hall County authorities from the sheriff’s office, fire department and animal control responded Nov. 9 to a house in the 4000 block of Sequoia Drive.
The 92-year-old woman was bitten on the hand and taken to the hospital for treatment.
“Deputies observed the house to be in disarray, including urine on the floors and dirty and unsanitary conditions,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth.
The 92-year-old woman lives with her son, Foster Jay Green, 50, who was at the home during the dog bite call.
After the case was transferred to the investigations division, authorities obtained a warrant for Green Nov. 15.
Green was charged with neglect of an elder person and booked in to the Hall County Jail, where he is being held on a $5,700 bond.
The case is still under investigation.
