Fire damages Gainesville home

Firefighters extinguished flames Monday, Aug. 29, inside a Gainesville home after witnesses saw smoke from the home’s attic, according to authorities.

Hall County Fire Rescue responded around 11 a.m. Monday to the 4000 block of Hidden Hollow Drive in Gainesville.

Firefighters entered the home and put out the flames quickly, according to the fire department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
