When Assistant District Attorney Harold Buckler drives home every day, he goes over the Deputy Nicolas Blane Dixon Memorial bridge on Cleveland Highway. Buckler might have been the only person on the prosecution team who had not met the 28-year-old Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputy before he was fatally shot five years ago this week.
