Authorities have filed charges against a Forsyth County man in relation to a crash that killed a Hall County woman Jan. 23 on Keith Bridge Road.

Mitchell Brown, 29, of Cumming, has been charged with homicide by vehicle, reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road and a seat belt violation, according to Stacie Miller, a spokeswoman with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Additional charges are pending, Miller said.

Brown turned himself in and is in the Forsyth County Jail under no bond.

Candi Tucker, 42, of Gainesville, was killed after Brown's 2018 Jeep Compass crossed the center line while traveling east on Keith Bridge Road and struck Tucker's 2005 Toyota Scion head-on, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded to the incident at 2:21 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23. Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene.

A female passenger in Tucker's vehicle, Chasity Sawyer, 26, and Brown were both transported by ambulance to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
