A Suwanee man was accused of molesting a child seven years ago and arrested last week, according to authorities.

Alfred Jamal Allen Jr., 26, was booked in to the Hall County Jail on Thursday, Nov. 21.

Investigators learned of the alleged incident in September.

“According to the initial investigation, Allen molested the female victim at a residence in Hall County between February and March of 2012,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth wrote in an email.

Defense attorney Matt Leipold did not return a request for comment.

Booth said Allen was “loosely acquainted” with the girl. He did not answer questions sent by The Times regarding how old the girl was and how the allegations were disclosed.

Allen was transported from the Gwinnett County Jail to the Hall County Jail and posted a $11,200 bond.

The case is still under investigation.
