A Gainesville man recently severed from his co-defendant in a West Avenue shooting death case filed a motion to have two murder charges dismissed. Leshan Tremiele Tanner, 42, and Rodnie Maurice Stokes, 27, were indicted on Sept. 23 in the death of Cedric Antonio Huff, 42. Gainesville police said they believe the June 5 incident that led to Huff’s death weeks later was drug-related.
