Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County is working with local law enforcement to offer free gun locks, hoping to limit household firearm accidents. Gainesville and Hall County residents can pick up the locks, which work for both rifles and handguns, at the Gainesville Police Department, the Georgia State Patrol and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to the free equipment, Safe Kids hopes parents will take the opportunity to discuss gun safety with their children.
