Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of death of a woman whose body was found Thursday, March 8, in South Hall.

Her body was found in a field or woods, according to an incident report obtained by The Times.

An autopsy conducted Friday, March 9, “revealed no obvious signs of trauma,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Scott Ware said Tuesday, March 13.

“There are additional tests being conducted,” he said.

Kimberly Dawn Hicks was discovered before 1 p.m. at a residence in the 3100 block of Old Oakwood Road.

She died near her birthday and was either 45 or 46.

“We are not able to determine the exact time and date of her death,” Ware said.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities said they had no further updates on the case.
