CUMMING — Authorities have identified Jason Aldridge, 44, as the suspect they say wielded a knife at officers before being shot by a Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Sunday and later dying. Deputies responded at 11:22 p.m. Sunday to a report of a suicidal man with a knife at Shady Grove RV Park on Browns Bridge Road/Ga. 369 near Lake Lanier. The man approached them with a knife when they arrived at the RV, according to Cpl. Pete Sabella, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
