An attorney representing a Gillsville man in a trio of co-defendants said Wednesday he was surprised by the grand jury charge of attempted murder in an alleged October shooting. Evan Edsel Dorsey, 26, of Buford, Johnathan William Owens, 27, of Gillsville, and Richard Brian Sosebee, 41, of Lula were all charged with attempted murder by a Hall County grand jury Dec. 15. The three were originally charged with aggravated battery and armed robbery by Gainesville police.
