Gainesville police have charged Samuel Leon Mosley, 60, of Atlanta in connection with two burglaries at Dawsonville Highway restaurants.

The incidents happened in late September at Pueblos Mexican Cuisine and Kiku Japanese Steak & Sushi, Cpl. Kevin Holbrook said.

Forced entry was made into both restaurants, at Kiku’s on Sept. 22 and at Pueblo’s on Sept. 24, and a small amount of cash and electronics were taken, Holbrook said.

Mosley was identified from video footage from similar incidents in the Atlanta area.

“We were able to obtain video surveillance, but we were unable to identify the subject,” Holbrook said. “The subject was identified after another agency had submitted video to Atlanta media of numerous burglaries across the metro area and the public was able to help” with identification.

Mosley is charged with two counts of burglary in the second degree and with criminal damage to property in the second degree, Holbrook said.

He is currently being held in Fulton County Jail on similar charges there.
