When is Gainesville going to bite the bullet and build a new limited access north/south roadway that relieves the terrible Jesse Jewell Parkway congestion?
“The city of Gainesville is constantly striving to improve the transportation conditions throughout our community,” Gainesville Public Works Director Chris Rotalsky wrote in an email. “The city’s Transportation Master Plan identifies numerous projects for traffic improvements, and the city has begun implementing the recommendations identified within the Master Plan.
“To the specific question of building ‘a new limited access north/south roadway,’ this is not currently within the scope of any active projects.”
