A suspect was arrested late Wednesday morning after a robbery at a Shell gas station earlier that morning.

Larry “Raquan” Thomas, 26, of Hall County was arrested by White County Sheriff’s Office deputies and faces charges of aggravated assault and armed robbery in connection with an incident at the Shell Station at 6918 Cleveland Highway in North Hall County, according to Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Nicole Bailes.

Hall and White deputies had been searching for the man since the 7:20 a.m. incident.

The Hall sheriff’s office reported the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk at Shell before leaving with some amount of cash. The manager there was not at the station or available to comment Wednesday afternoon.

White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said Thomas was found a short distance away on Chandace Drive about 11 a.m.

“We are investigating and looking at him in some other break-ins as well as robberies both in White and Hall County,” Ingram said.

White County Sheriff Neal Walden said there may be additional charges against Thomas if he can be connected to other incidents there.

“We’re hoping that when we have our interviews with him that maybe we can close some additional cases,” Walden said.
