A Gainesville man was the victim of an armed robbery Saturday morning on Holland Avenue in Gainesville, police said.

Public Information Officer Joe Britte of the Gainesville Police Department said the robber was in possession of a knife and stole $530 from the victim just before 6 a.m.

"He was attacked by hands and feet, and there was a knife he displayed," Britte said.

The victim was unable to provide a description of the attacker.
