The pit bull breed has a pretty bad reputation. The dogs are known for being vicious, even attacking small children. Some say it’s the owner who instills this behavior, and pit bulls can be perfectly good family pets if raised correctly. Others say the breed has a predisposition to violence and the dogs are not fit to be pets.. The question has been raised of whether Gainesville should outlaw the breed, especially after an attack last week of a 9-year-old girl. What do you think of pit bulls?
