An early spring chill will drop temperatures near 40 in Gainesville with a freeze warning issued for areas in the North Georgia mountains, the National Weather Service forecasts.
Clear skies and gusty winds have temps falling Saturday night and will keep the nights cool for next several days. The sun will warm us up back into the 60s during the day Sunday, but evening will drop the mercury back into the lower 40s.
The same pattern will hold through midweek, with afternoon highs near 70 and lows in the upper 40s. There is little chance of precipitation over the next few days.
The gusty winds will ease a bit Sunday but pick back up on Monday, up to 25 mph gusts possible.
