Four lanes of Ga. 347/Lanier Islands Parkway between Interstate 985 and McEver Road are expected to be open to motorists by 5 p.m. Thursday, nearly two months earlier than expected. Crews will begin at 9 a.m. finishing work on signs and striping, said Teri Pope, Georgia Department of Transportation district spokeswoman. The project’s opening also includes upgraded intersections at Ga. 13/Atlanta Highway and McEver Road.
