A one-vehicle wreck in South Hall killed a Flowery Branch man early this morning.

The accident happened about 1 a.m. at the intersection of Wade Orr Road and Saddlehorse Drive when a Ford F-150 driven by Travis Fowler, 23, left the road and hit a telephone pole, causing it to break in half, Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Chad Mann said.

The truck then continued and hit a second telephone pole.

Mann said alcohol may have played a role, though toxicology results are pending.

The victim was dead when emergency responders arrived.
