Hall County fire crews battled a blaze Saturday night in an abandoned home in the 6300 block of Chelsea Drive in northwest Hall County.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the approximately 1,500-square foot wooden frame home ablaze, with a basement that was fully involved in flames, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said in a news release.

Firefighters made a defensive attack to extinguish the fire.

The home was found to be abandoned, and it was a total loss, Kimbrell said. There were no injuries.

A county fire investigator was on the scene to determine the cause.
