A stormy night is likely in Northeast Georgia

Areas of Northeast Georgia could experience strong scattered thunderstorms Saturday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Dawson and Lumpkin counties. The storms could bring rain, hail, lightning and damaging winds up to 60 mph.

The storms runs north of a line from Rome through Dawsonville to Gainesville.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for storms tonight and a low around 66.

Sunday will bring a chance of showers throughout the afternoon with a high of 82. More scattered storms could form Sunday night, with a low of 65.
