Four members of what authorities have called the "Lula Boys" were arrested Wednesday on simple battery and gang charges, according to Lt. Scott Ware with the Gang Task Force.

Charged with simple battery and violation of the street gang and terrorism act were: Andrew Blake Tilson, 17, Spencer Tate Tilson, 20, Miguel Torres-Hernandez, 20, all of Lula, and Jeremy David Smith, 19, of Gainesville.

Jeremy Smith’s father and brother were arrested after authorities say they tried to hinder the arrests. David Smith, 52, and brother Timothy Michael Smith, 18, both of Gainesville, were charged with obstruction.

Authorities say the four gang members beat up two other people.

All six individuals were booked in at the Hall County Detention Center.
