Area dogs and their owners gathered at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center Sunday for some fun in the water at the third annual Soggy Doggy Pool Party. Dogs of all sizes splashed around in the pool throughout the afternoon and competed in contests like best game of fetch and best tricks. The canine pool party, sponsored by Gainesville’s parks and recreation department, is held each year after the pool closes for the season.
