Hall County Fire Services determined three workers suffered breathing problems and respiratory irritation Friday after a fire suppression system malfunctioned.

Fire personnel responded to a report of a possible explosion around 1 p.m. Friday at 5703 Bristol Industrial Way. When the system malfunctioned, a “dry chemical extinguishing agent” came out, according to interim deputy Chief Chad Black.

Two of the workers were treated at the scene and released, while the third was transferred to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
