Authorities are looking for a pair of suspects in the armed robbery late Monday of a taxi cab driver.

Hall County sheriff’s Col. Jeff Strickland said at about 11:30 p.m. Monday a driver for Fiesta Taxi Service picked up two men from the Kangaroo convenience store at the corner of Calvary Church Road and Candler Highway. The men had the driver take them to Marlette Road, where they tied his hands to the steering wheel using "zip ties" and robbed him at gunpoint, Strickland said.

The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash before running to a waiting vehicle.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males, of medium build, both around 5 feet, 3 inches. One man was wearing a white T-shirt and white kerchief around his head while the other man was wearing a black shirt.

The robbery victim was not injured. The robbery remains under investigation.
