A pair of Gainesville brothers were arrested on methamphetamine trafficking charges Friday, law enforcement officials said.
Dustin James Brookshire, 33, and David Patrick Brookshire, 37, are both charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.
Agents with the Gainesville-Hall County Multi Agency Narcotics Squad assisted by the Gainesville Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division arrested the Brookshire brothers at Monroe Drive in Gainesville.
Lt. Scott Ware of the MANs unit reported that the men had delivered about $1,400 worth of methamphetamine to a predetermined location to sell.
Both men were booked at the Hall County Jail where they are awaiting first appearance in Magistrate Court.
They both had a criminal record of felony drug charges, Ware said.
Dustin Brookshire was charged with a felony after police said he attempted to escape from the Hall County Detention Center in 2003.
