A woman and her teenage passenger were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on Ga. 365 in the Cornelia area, Georgia State Patrol said.

Teresa Johnson, 43, of Flowery Branch and her 13-year-old passenger whose name wasn’t released were taken to Habersham Medical Center with unspecified Injuries, said GSP secretary Kelly Murray.

Murray said Larry James Shook, 54, of Young Harris was heading north on Ga. 15 when he tried to merge onto 365 in his 2000 Ford F350. Johnson, driving north in a 2003 Chevy Trail Blazer, swerved to avoid the accident before the vehicles collided.
