Two people were arrested and charged by the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad with several charges linked to possession of drugs.

Kerry Tracy Wheeler Jr., 28, and Kristie Lee Whitfield, 37, both of Gainesville, were charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, along with possession of hydrocodone, diazepam, alprazolam and marijuana.

Whitfield also was charged with possession of carisporodol and tramadol.

The MANS unit arrested the two without incident in the 4300 Block of Ledan Extension. They were found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and various prescription pills, as well as packaging materials and scales, Lt. Scott Ware reported in a news release.

The street value of the drugs exceeded $300.

Both suspects were booked in at the Hall County Jail.
