One man was arrested and a second suspect is being sought after a cash theft at a Gainesville store Friday that led to a manhunt, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office reported. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a theft in progress just before 1 p.m. at the La Chiquita store on Hancock Avenue. They were told two male suspects had entered the store, where one reached behind the cash register and took a bank deposit bag full of cash while the clerk was away from the counter.
