A Murrayville man died in a one-vehicle wreck in extreme northwest Hall County near the Lumpkin County line. The Georgia State Patrol, called to Old Dahlonega Highway at Old Whelchel Road at 6:49 a.m. Thursday, determined that Patrick Parks, 42, was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup when the vehicle apparently left the roadway in a curve. The pickup hit several trees, a fence and another tree before coming to a stop, according to the state patrol.
