Miss Julia Padgett Wynne and Mr. James Bryan Jones were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7, 2013, at The Cloister Garden at The Cloister in Sea Island. The bride is the daughter of Judge and Mrs. Charles Stephen Wynne of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mrs. Thea Culbreth Chamberlain of Decatur and Mr. William Benjamin Jones III of Marietta.

The Rev. Donald Allen Harp Jr. performed the ceremony. Violinist Mrs. Judy Steinmeyer, cellist Mr. Ernie Ealum, bagpiper Mr. Tim Elkins and flutist Mrs. Pegge Ealum presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Sara Wynne Billingsley of Gainesville, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Claire Dilworth Bryan of St. Simons Island, Mrs. Leigh-Anne Gross O’Brien of Gainesville, and Miss Mary McCutchen Poitevent of New Orleans, La.

The groom’s brother, Mr. Wesley Hammond Jones of Atlanta, was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. William Riley Bealer Baxter of Atlanta, Mr. William Gregory Hubbard of Atlanta and Mr. Benjamin Standifer Johnson of Atlanta. The bride’s nephews, Masters Jacob Wynne Billingsley, Thompson Hoyt Billingsley and Frederick Reid Billingsley, all of Gainesville, were the ring bearers.

Mrs. Katherine Highsmith Crumley of Gainesville, Mrs. Kathleen McDuff Meehan of London, England, Miss Sarah Marie Royal of Charlottesville, Va., and Mrs. Lucy Huggins Ullrich of Atlanta were greeters. Miss Maren White at The Cloister was the wedding coordinator.

The bride wore her sister’s veil, her grandmother’s brooch and a sixpence in her shoe given to her by Mrs. George Thomas Jr. Her bouquet was wrapped in silk from her grandfather’s tie.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Rainbow Island in Sea Island on the eve of the wedding. An afterparty was given by the bride’s parents at Rainbow Island in Sea Island with music by J.P. Hester of Atlanta and Mr. Adam Strong of Gainesville.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at The Cloister Beach Club in Sea Island following the ceremony. Reception music was provided by Papa Sol of Atlanta.

Following a “mini-moon” in Sea Island, the couple reside in Atlanta. The couple plan to honeymoon in September 2014 to Rome, Positano and Ravello, Italy.
