Heather Lyn Wicker and Joseph Hudson Blackwell were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Nov. 7, 2010, at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta. The bride is the daughter of David L. and Mary Anna Wicker of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Joseph Gerald Blackwell of Duluth and the late Lannis Blackwell Good.
The Rev. Bob Tyler performed the ceremony. Organist John Richardson and vocalist Martha Steed Bell presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's friend Kathleen Nolan of Clermont was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Anna Machan of Roswell, Stephanie Young of Dunwoody, and Laura Aiken of Gainesville.
The groom's friend Zach Lindsey of Gadsden, Ala., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom friends Joseph Owens of Gadsden, Ala., and Will Wannamaker of Lawrenceville and the bride's cousin Steven Blankenship of Salisbury, Md.
The bride wore her grandmother's sapphire and diamond cocktail ring. The groom carried his grandfather's business card and wore the bride's grandfather's cuff links. Wedding coordinator was Kathy Gailey and Laura and Jeremy Williams kept the bride's book.
The bide's parents gave a rehearsal luncheon at Maggiano's Little Italy on Nov. 6, 2010.
The bride's parents gave a reception in the Georgian Room at the Biltmore Ballroom in Atlanta following the ceremony.
Following a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Duluth.
