Caroline Grace Westbrooks and Charles “Chase” Oswald Sanger IV were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Feb. 16, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Robbie and Stephanie Westbrooks of Gainesville. The groom is the son of D. Kent and Susy Shelton of Powder Springs, and Charles O. Sanger III of Marietta.
The Rev. Caleb Land, cousin of the groom, performed the ceremony. Organist Keith Jefcoat presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Audrey Holmes of Pinellas Park, Fla., was maid of honor. The bride’s cousin Melanie Stovall of Flowery Branch was a bridesmaid.
The groom’s father and stepfather served as best men. Ushers were the bride’s brother James Westbrooks and the groom’s grandfathers Paul Greene and Rudy Shelton.
Jackie Powers was the wedding coordinator. The bride’s cousin Karen Clyburn distributed the wedding programs.
The bride carried the groom’s dog tags in her bouquet and wore her grandmother’s pearl necklace.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Recess Southern Gastro Pub in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.
The bride’s parents gave a reception at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.
The couple reside in Fort Bragg, N.C., where the groom is a second lieutenant in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.
