Margaret Lake Waterstradt and Stevens Morrow Bailey Jr. were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Aug. 15, 2009, at Gaither Chapel in Montreat, N.C. The bride is the daughter of William H. and Margaret N. Waterstradt of Montreat, N.C. The groom is the son of Stevens M. Sr. and Patty M. Bailey of Coffeeville, Miss.

The Rev. Eade Anderson performed the ceremony. Organist Eric Wall, violinist Dorothy Knowles, trumpeter Larry Black and vocalist Elizabeth Peterson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Merritt McMullen Driscoll of Boulder, Colo., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Palmer Booth Ramsay of Atlanta, Megan Elizabeth Huey of Charleston, S.C., the groom’s sister Elizabeth Meadows Bailey of Memphis, Tenn., and the bride’s friends Sara Elizabeth Baker of Washington, D.C., and Grace Richardson Johnson, of Nashville, Tenn.

The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother William Henry Waterstradt Jr. of Knoxville; the groom’s cousin Coleman Little Bailey Jr.; and the groom’s friends Todd Leavell Arnold, Robert Daniel Walker II, Todd Leavell Arnold and Bradley Webster Crawford, all of Memphis, Tenn., Michael Jonathan Windham of Odenville, Ala., Hayes Moffett Brister of Chicago,  Joshua Paul Daley of Orlando, Fla., and James Ewell Hart of Nashville. Ushers were Trent Meek Yates, John Thomas Lamar III, Roy Bradley Kellum, Andrew Gray Bryant, Benjamin Arthur Tolbert III, John Benjamin Ward, Matthew Christian Byrd, Nathan Campbell Best, Clifford Kavanaugh Bailey IV and William Gardner Todd IV.

Dawn Fulenwider and Martha Hodge were the wedding coordinators. Greeters were April Patrick Smith and Stephanie Anne King. The groom’s niece McKenzie Bailey kept the bride’s book.

The bride wore her mother’s wedding dress and veil and carried her maternal grandmother’s handkerchief and a sixpence in her shoe.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Coleman Place in Asheville, N.C., on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Amelia Island, Fla., the couple reside in Chicago.
