Rebecca and Thomas Barnes

Miss Rebecca Ann Stokey and Mr. Thomas Andrew Barnes were united in marriage on Nov. 6, 2010, at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Warren Stokey of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Lawrence Barnes of Clayton.

The Rev. Terry Walton performed the ceremony. Vocalist Mr. Tony Hamilton and organist Mr. Keith Jefcoat presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Mrs. DeAnna Browne of Gainesville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister-in-law Mrs. Erin Breedlove Stokey and the bride's friends Mrs. Crista Ragsdale White, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Alexander and Ms. Alison Montayne, all of Gainesville.

The groom's brother Mr. James K. Barnes of Cumming was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Mr. Jay Caudill of Greenville, S.C., Mr. Chris Robinson of Watertown, Tenn., the groom's brothers-in-law Mr. Jeffrey W. Stokey Jr., of Gainesville and Mr. Patrick G. Stokey of Oxford, Miss., and the groom's friend Mr. Richard Spierto of Cumming. Mr. Daniel Browne was an usher. Ms. Mary Proffit Kimmel and Mrs. Pyper Macloskie were program attendants.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at the Chattahoocheee Country Club following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Gainesville.
