Sarah Joy Smith and Dustin Craig Edmonds were united in marriage at 3 p.m. May 25, 2013, at First Alliance Church in Toccoa. The bride is the daughter of Carol Smith of Toccoa. She is the granddaughter of Allan and Scarlett Juiffre of Toccoa and Aubrey and Barbara Smith of Demorest. The groom is the son of Mark and Tina Edmonds of Shelby, N.C. He is the grandson of Hubert and Rosemary Pickleseimer of Murphy, N.C., Ronnie and Rita Teems of Marble, N.C., and Sam and Susan Edmonds of Morristown, Tenn.

Pastor Harris Pressley performed the ceremony. Pianist Carla Sisk Lewis and vocalist Brianna Foley presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her grandfather, Allan Juiffre. The bride’s college friend Rebekah Staton of Clarkesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister Natalie Smith of Toccoa and the bride’s friends Katie Ballard of Gainesville, Lindsey Brakhage of Gainesville and Analilia Landeros of Clarkesville. The bride’s friend Cecilia Moore of Toccoa was the flower girl.

The groom’s friend Billy Hudson of Shelby, N.C., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Tony Davis of Shelby, N.C., Jamin Peck of Roach, Mo., Devon Raisch of Shelby, N.C., and Jimmy Newton of Shelby, N.C. The bride’s cousin Clark Sanders of Toccoa was the ring bearer. Ushers were Jacob Douylliez, Chris Sudderth, Dan Frist and Pablo Diaz.

Debrorah Allen was the wedding coordinator. Program attendants were Raelyn Sanders and Grady Sanders. Shantelle Grant was the attendant of the signature quilt.

The bride carried her grandfather’s class ring in her bouquet as her ‘something blue,’ and wore an antique pearl bracelet belonging to Audrey Whitworth. She wore a blue garter which was a gift from Katie Ballard.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at the fellowship hall of First Alliance Church in Toccoa on the eve of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon in the North Georgia mountains, the couple reside in Shelby, N.C.
