Samuel Cruce and Amanda Smith

Miss Amanda Marie Smith and Mr. Samuel Wash Cruce were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 26, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Smith of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Ms. Shawn Moore of Gainesville.

The Rev. William L. Coates Jr. performed the ceremony. Pianist the Rev. Mark Green, vocalist Miss Rachel Smith and violinist Mr. Matthew Coldiron presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride's sister Miss Rachel Smith of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Miss Ginny McCollum of Dahlongea, Miss Leslie Hoagland of Gainesville and Miss Molly Childers of Atlanta. The bride's cousin Miss Sarah Grace Selby of Atlanta was the flower girl.

The groom's friend Mr. David Godzisz of Wake Forest, N.C., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Mr. Steve Arant of Kennesaw, Mr. Scott Kendrick of Gainesville and Mr. Rand Eberhard of Atlanta. The bride's cousin Master William Selby of Atlanta was the ring bearer. Mr. Drew Smith was an usher. Miss Tanner Blount and Miss Abby Blount were program attendants.

Mrs. Kristy Wright was the wedding coordinator.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the Martha Hope Cabin in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception in the Banquet Hall at First Baptist Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Chateau Elan in Braselton, the couple reside in Wheeling, Ill.
