Jeremy and Mary Skidmore

Mary Katherine Schaap and Jeremy David Skidmore were united in marriage at 5 p.m. June 4, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Dan and Karen Schaap of Gainesville. The groom is the son of David and Debbie Skidmore of Gainesville.

The Rev. Paul Evans performed the ceremony.

Guitarist Chris Brett presented a solo and organist Beth Hunter presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father and mother. The bride's sister Margaret Schaap of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom's sister Tiffany Jones of Gainesville, bride's friends Erin Masters of Gainesville, Chelsea Oglesby of Swainsboro, and Allison Stewart of Gainesville.

The groom's father David Skidmore of Gray was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brother-in-law Jeremy Jones, friends Jody Branch of Milledgeville, Chris Brett of Milledgeville and Travis Smith of Lawrenceville.

The bride carried a six pence that was carried by her mother and grandmother in their weddings. She wore her mother's pearl necklace and pearl earrings given to her by the groom.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Luna's Restaurant in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Aruba, the couple reside in Rutledge.
