Kara and Benjamin Jackson

Kara Jo Preston and Benjamin Thomas Jackson were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. June 13, 2009, at Buck Creek Farm in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mark Andrew and Theresa Marie Preston of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Sandy and Elizabeth Leigh Jackson of Clermont.

The Rev. Jeffrey Lovelle Coleman performed the ceremony. Lyndsey Reed and Adam Kersch presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Erica Jill Breedlove of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Amanda Renee Bishop, Brittany Annette Bramble and Erin Jessie Caldwell, all of Gainesville, and Mary Chandler Wiley of Cleveland; and the bride's cousins Traci Marie McCollum and Rebecca Lynn McCollum, both of Richmond, Ind. The bride's friend Lauren Rachelle Scott of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom's brother Joshua Coleman Jackson of Lula was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride's brother Gregory Reed Preston of Gainesville; and the groom's friends Jacob Daniel Wiley of Cleveland, William Ruben Shuler of Clermont and Christopher Alan Berendson, Bradford Lee Williams and Daniel Joseph Caldwell, all of Gainesville. The groom's friend Caleb Andrew Gee of Clermont was the ring bearer.

Anna Sasser kept the bride's book.

The bride wore a garter made from a handkerchief belonging to her grandfather and carried her great-grandmother's St. Christopher medal.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Scott's on the Square in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at Buck Creek Farm in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple reside in Gainesville.
