Rachel Lynne Petron and Clifford "Kip" Harrell Wright Jr. were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Aug. 1, 2009, at Central Baptist Church in Americus. The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Nancy Petron of Americus. The groom is the son of Clifford H. Sr. and Carla Wright of Gainesville.
The Revs. Bryan Myers and Robby Christmas performed the ceremony. Vocalists Jeremy Yoder and Fancy Pettit, pianist Deb Kiemele, guitarist Joel Petron, cellist Chris Drigers, trumpeter Jared Hunt, flutist McKinna Ingram and bass player Hannah Weldon presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's mother was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom's sister Rachel Wright of Gainesville; the bride's cousin Hannah Kiemele of Portland, Ore.; and the bride's friends Lisa Gjerde of Detroit, Mich., Kate Williams of Tuscon, Ariz., and Hope Stanford of Hattiesburg, Miss. The bride's cousin Skyla Kelm of Brookfield, Wis., was the flower girl.
The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Kevin Smith and Drew Turner, both of Gainesville, the bride's brothers Joel Petron and Michael Petron, both of Americus, and the groom's friend Arthur Lin of Americus. Ushers were Rusty Anderson, Steven Pettit, Gaines Robinson and Matt Phillips.
The bride wore a pearl necklace given to her mother by her father on their wedding day.

Following a honeymoon to St. Augustine, Fla., the couple reside in Athens.
