Miss Stacy Michelle Patterson and Mr. John William Morris were united in marriage at 7 p.m. June 7, 2008, at Riverchase United Methodist Church in Hoover, Ala. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Edward Patterson Jr. of Hoover. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Newman William Morris II of Gainesville.

The Rev. Jack Hinnen performed the ceremony. Organist Mr. Scott Welch and soloist Mrs. Amy Ferguson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The groom's sister Mrs. Jennifer Morris Fulks of Gainesville was matron of honor. The bride's friend Miss Jessica Meagan Roberts of Hoover was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Miss Melissa Ann Boehm and Miss Natalie Jill Young, both of Hoover, Mrs. Shealy Rebekah McKinnon of Auburn, Ala., Miss Sarah Kate Tyler of Arab, Ala., Miss Jillian Anne Adams and Mrs. Mindy Street Slaughter, both of Hoover, Miss Debra Celeste Butler of Houston and Miss Meredith Elizabeth Mosley of Greenville, Ala. The bride's cousin Miss Ella Kate Seymour of Guntersville, Ala., was the flower girl.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friend Mr. David Morgan French of Hoover, the groom's brother-in-law Mr. Clayton Matthew Fulks of Gainesville, and the groom's friends Mr. William Clayton McKinnon of Auburn and Mr. Charles Clayton Sanders of Gainesville. The groom's friends Mr. Robert Graham Butler of Lilburn and Mr. Craig Andrew Maxey of Collierville, Tenn., were ushers.

Miss Pam Stumbo was the wedding coordinator. Scripture readers were Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Scott Dills of Birmingham, Ala.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Summit Club in Birmingham on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at The Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover following the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia in the Caribbean, the couple reside in Hoover.
