Caroline Oliver and Micah Lawson

Caroline Ann Oliver and Micah James Lawson were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 24, 2009, at Crane Cottage, Jekyll Island. The bride is the daughter of Tom and Sally Oliver of Chestnut Mountain. The groom is the son of Bobby and Kathy Lawson of Gainesville.

The Rev. Michael Batton performed the ceremony. A violinist, flutist and cellist presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister Katy Oliver Hutcheson of Belmont, N.C., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom’s sister Krista Lawson of Gainesville and the bride’s friends Andrea Clayberg of Atlanta, Mary Dickson of Charlotte, N.C., and Marian Close of Seattle, Wash.

The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends Philip Barbosa of Dallas, Texas, Sean Couch and Trey Smith, both of Gainesville, and David Theobald of Los Angeles, Calif. Ushers were Jonathan Oliver and Chad Hutcheson.

Veronica Oliver was the wedding coordinator.

The bride carried her great-grandmother’s handkerchief.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Crane Cottage on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at The Courtyard at the Crane Cottage following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple reside in Austin, Texas.
