Brian and Callie Hughs

Miss Callie Elizabeth Martin and Mr. Brian Thomas Hughs were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9, 2010, at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Eugene Martin of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Johnson Hughs of Gainesville and the late Mrs. Monica Trapani Hughs.

The Rev. Terry Eugene Walton and the bride's brother the Rev. Whitney Roark Martin performed the ceremony. Violinist Mrs. Heather Strachen, cellist Mrs. Wendy Baker and violists Mrs. Edie Benson and Mrs. Elizabeth Jobson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Miss Raleigh Marie McGarity of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Miss Heidi Ngoc Bui, Miss Emily Carter Brooksher and Miss Lindsay Ann McDuff, all of Gainesville, the bride's sister-in-law Mrs. Ashley Williams Martin of Gainesville, the bride's friend Miss Katherine Leigh Brim of Boulder, Colo., the bride's cousin Miss Mary Eliza Massengill of Atlanta, the bride's friend Miss Elizabeth Wright Sanders of Dallas, Texas, and the groom's sister Mrs. Natalie Hughs Kinard of Greenville, S.C. Miss Haley McLees Frankum of Gainesville was a junior bridesmaid. The couple's friends Miss Margaret Thompson Embry and Miss Anna Kate Embry, both of Gainesville, were the flower girls.

The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brother Master Nathan Terrell Hughs, the bride's brother Mr. Jacob Wesley Martin, the groom's friends Mr. James Daniel Stribling and Mrs. Brett Eugene Fowler, all of Gainesville, the groom's cousin Mr. Edwin Fennell Hughes IV of Charleston, S.C., the groom's brother-in-law Mr. Charles Wilson Kinard of Greenville, S.C., and the groom's friends Mr. Edward Douglas Puckett IV of Augusta, Mr. Christopher Ryan Roberts of Gadsden, Ala., and Mr. Hunter Dillard Sizemore of Birmingham, Ala. The couple's friends Master Cody Britton Brewer and Master Grayson James Simmons, both of Gainesville were the ring bearers. Ushers were Mr. William Tyler Puckett, Mr. Jeremy Heath Little, Mr. Robert Claude Norman IV and Mr. Scott Lanier vonCannon.

Mr. William Christopher Davidson was the wedding coordinator. The bride wore a broach on her gown that was given to her by her late grandfather Mr. Billy James Martin.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Quinlan Arts Center in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at The Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia in the Caribbean, the couple reside in Gainesville.
