Patti Light and Mitch Taylor were united in marriage on Oct. 3, 2009, at the bride's parents' residence in Oakwood. The bride is the daughter of G.E. and Helen Light of Oakwood. The groom is the son of Henry and Joyce Taylor of Buford.

The Rev. Scott Waters performed the ceremony. Kevin Light and Jonathan Jackson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her son Zach Abernathy of Gainesville.

The bride's parents gave a reception at their residence following the ceremony.

The couple reside in Gainesville.
