Deborah Diane Layton and Jonathan Daniel Davis were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Sept. 26, 2009, at Walters Farm in Lula. The bride is the daughter of Russell and Tammy Layton of Oakwood. The groom is the son of Johnny and Teresa Davis of Gainesville.
The Rev. Joseph Mealor performed the ceremony.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Brooke Brackett of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Allison Caldwell of Flowery Branch, Christina Worley and Courtney Smith, both of Gainesville, Krystal Cochran of Talladega, Ala., Laura Morris of Buford and Sarah Braden of Alpharetta. The bride's friend McKenzie Buckner of Canton was the flower girl.
The groom's father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Chris Martin of Baldwin, Clint Kinsey of Gainesville, Jason Morris of Buford, Jeremy Eason of Duluth and Stoy Baldwin of Gainesville and the groom's brother Todd Davis of Jefferson. The groom's nephew Tyler Davis and the couple's godson Mason Brackett, both of Gainesville, were the ring bearers. B.J. Barrett was an usher.
Jessica Fowler was the wedding coordinator. Stacey Sosebee and Barbara Matthews kept the bride's book.
The bride carried a handkerchief that belonged to her paternal grandfather.
The bride and groom gave a rehearsal dinner at Walters Farm on the eve of the wedding.
The bride's parents gave a reception at Walters Farm following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon to Destin, Fla., the couple reside in Gainesville.
